Loads of stunning violet-blue flowers with greenish-gold centers ensure he fall season ends with a bang! The Ezo Murasaki Asian Aster, also called Japanese Woods Aster, is a very late season bloomer that puts on a floral show in the garden from August to November in our Georgia gardens, blooming even after the first frost. The flowers aren’t only pretty, they also attract butterflies and are excellent for cutting and use in indoor floral arrangements. It spreads from underground rhizomes so is a great choice for filling larger spots in garden beds.

Growing Preferences
The Ezo Murasaki Aster is very easy to grow in most any well-drained but moist soil in full sun or part shade. It is most floriferous in full t mostly sun. Provide at least 5 hours of direct sun for best flowering. As with many other perennial plants, constantly soggy or wet soils can be problematic. Heavy, dense clay soils should be amended with organic matter to improve drainage.
