The plant arrived healthy, The pot was bigger than the plant itself. That said, it was a nice present for a new neighbor who moved in next door. This came packaged perfectly. The soil was still damp in the pots. Nothing was dumped out in the boxes. I couldn’t ask for better quality if I had gone and gotten it myself. Our plant, a lantana, arrived in fantastic shape. It was exceptionally well-packaged and remained moist even in our hot dry area. Texas has been having some horrible winters, and now extreme heat. I have been replacing damaged plants with very hardy ones. When the Miss Huff arrived, I was skeptical due to it being so very hot and a lot of the leaves had fallen off in the box. I planted them, and water them twice a week. I received 3 Lantanas packaged very well and in great condition. The Lantanas were not in bloom and planted immediately. One Lantana is starting to bloom two weeks after planting in very good soil and the remaining two are looking healthy in a different area of my landscape. My Dad purchased all his plants from Wilson Brothers due to the great selection, customer service and living around the corner helped too! Throughout the years I’ve tried planting Lantanas purchased at big box stores and had very little to no luck. My Mom suggested I try Wilson Brothers and I’m very happy with the process, purchase, website, customer service and plants received. The Lantana arrived, packed well and looking healthy. It was given a good soak and planted the next day. Two weeks later it’s growing well and now covered in blooms, with more on the way. Ever since visiting Helen, GA and spotting a beautiful large colorful planting display we have tried to figure out what it was. After a lot of searching we discovered it was Lantana only to find that it was an annual. We planted some and recognized the flower as similar but it never got very big and did not last long so not what they used in Helen.. We were amazed years later to find Wilson Brothers had a sale on a hardy Lantana called Miss Huff that gets huge so we bought one to test.. After it arrived via UPS in only one day and in great shape we knew we had other areas where it would look great so we quickly ordered another while still on sale. After it arrived even bigger we wished we had bought more but the sale price was over so we bought another anyway at a slightly higher price. It arrived even twice as big and already in flower so we were delighted. It is amazing how much they can grow their plants in their greenhouses in a short time.. Now we are just waiting for the smaller Sonset hardy Lantana to get back in stock to add a couple or more of those to our landscape in places that Miss Huff won’t fit.
Every time I am looking for a unique or specific plant I start my search at Wilson Brothers and have never been dissappointed.
We just noticed pre construction activity on a nearby lot clearing some trees and need to add some new evergreen trees for additional privacy screening so once again I searched for an answer at Wilson Brothers and found Nellie Stevens Holly on sale in 6 pack gallon size. Problem solved. Thanks to Wilson Brothers I rarely even need to look anywhere else for new plant ideas or specific plants at a reasonable shipped price. Arrived quickly and in great condition. Very well packaged. Slightly wilted as it has been very hot, but with a little water Miss Huffy perked right up. Gave it a day or two than in the ground she went. Full sun with well drained soil. She has already grown almost a foot in such a very short time. Will definitely order more items in the future. Based upon the extensive information provided, I chose two of these Lantana plants to eventually fill one Large area of my backyard. They arrived promptly and were healthy plants. Time will tell. When I was a little girl, my Aunt, had one of these growing near her front porch. I remember how big it was and how many flowers filled it with color. I was amazed at the tiny circling rows of flowers in variegated colors. I never knew what it was, and when I started gardening, as an adult, I found out that it was Lantana. When I saw this offered by Wilson Bros; I was immediately transported back in time to my Aunt’s house. The plant arrived on time and larger than I expected. The Miss Huff Lantana is a beautiful plant covered with clusters of flowers ranging from pale Yellow to Pink, Rose, Red, and Lavender. Butterflys and Hummingbirds love them and they bloom throughout the Spring, Summer, and into early Fall. The bush grows rapidly during the season then dies back to the root with the first frost only to return in the Spring and bloom again. We had several when we lived in Atlanta and wanted them when we retired to Tennessee even though they are not hardy in our growning zone (6B) and are not available locally. Thanks to Wilson Bros Gardens, we found that we could order them online, plant them in large pots (think half barrel), enjoy them during the season, then move them indoors during the dormant Winter season. The plants arrived the day after I ordered them in great condition, well packaged, and ready for transplant. They are the center piece of our entry garden and as vibrant as the plantings we enjoyed for years in our old home.
