Description
A true show stopper, this tough but beautiful heat, drought and salt tolerant miniature Scotch rose is covered in quarter size double flowers that range from soft pink to dark pink and white, all on the same plant! The tiny vibrant green leaves cover arching branches that form a dense mound. When planted at the top of walls the branches will cascade beautifully over the walls edge. Hardy from zone 5a all the way South to 11!
Landscape & Garden Uses
Growing 2 to 3 feet tall and over 6 feet wide without pruning, the Petite Pink Scotch Rose is ideal for use as a specimen in smaller garden spaces or in groupings or mass plantings in larger landscape borders. The branches will cascade beautifully over walls. A fine addition to pink theme gardens and cottage gardens.
Suggested Spacing: 5 to 6 feet apart for mass plantings or as a solid border
Growing Preferences
The Petite Pink Scotch Rose is easy to grow in average, well-drained soils with medium moisture in full sun to part shade. It is heat, drought and salt tolerant. Keep in mind that all roses like morning sun to dry the morning dew from their leaves but will tolerate afternoon shade. Does not require pruning, however can be pruned to control size or for shaping purposes. We always provide enough room to allow this beauty to ramble naturally so very rarely if ever prune. Deadheading spent flowers is not necessary however can be done to tidy up plants after the bloom.
